The equity theory: a quantitative perspective using data envelopment analysis

چکیده
Equity theory (ET) is an organizational investigating how fairly people feel they have been treated. The literature on ET does not address two essential questions: what the magnitude of equity that one may perceive compared to other members in organization?, and much should be resources (outcomes) underpaid member reduced (increased) equal? group respond these questions emotionally, their answers could biased based personalities. This paper proposes a novel method using data envelopment analysis (DEA) quantify answer more logically. DEA mathematical model conceptually similar ET. We will show can estimate degree perceived by with different personalities, including optimistic, pessimistic, benevolent, entitled characters.

Evaluating Greek Equity Funds Using Data Envelopment Analysis
This study assesses the relative performance of Greek equity funds employing a nonparametric method, specifically Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA). Using an original sample of cost and operational attributes we explore the effect of each variable on funds' operational efficiency for an oligopolistic and bank-dominated fund industry. Our results have significant implications for the investors' fu...
متن کاملAppraisal of Mutual Equity Fund Performance Using Data Envelopment Analysis*
This paper employs Data Envelopment Analysis to measure for the first time the performance of Greek domestic equity mutual funds over four different one-year horizons and for the whole four-year period. In particular, the model used examines whether fund managers employ inputs (i.e. assets, loads, and risk) efficiently to produce output (returns). The results demonstrate that the efficient fund...
متن کاملEfficient location by using data envelopment analysis
So far, many types of location models have been developed to find optimal spatial patterns according to different spatial metrics such as cost, coverage and availability. The initial focus of these models is on the location availability of service providers and demand estimates, and some of these models are within the framework of multi-objective programming models. After the advent of scienc...
متن کاملData envelopment analysis: theory and applications
The common weights approach is one of the most prominent methods to further prioritize the subset of DEA efficient units. This approach can be modeled as a multiobjective problem, where one seeks for a common set of weights that locates the efficiency ratio of each unit as close as possible to the target score of 1. In such a setting, different metrics can be applied to measure the distance of ...
